Who is Christopher Pop-in-kins?

Several years ago, a quiet little elf felt that something was missing from his life. He knew he had a good life making toys for Santa, but he wanted more. He also knew the only way to feel better was to talk to Santa. And he did. . . .

“Christopher Pop-In-Kins, why do you look so sad?”

Santa saw a big tear in the little fellow's eye. Santa walked over to his desk and picked up a candy cane.

“Here Christopher, take this. I know you just love peppermint candies...there...that should cheer you up.”

“Thank you Santa.” Christopher quietly sat in the big red chair. Just then, the big tear rolled down Christopher's cheek and splashed him on the nose. Santa stooped over, picked up the small elf and sat him on his lap.

“What's the matter little one?”

Santa pulled his big red handkerchief from his pocket and gently wiped the big tear from Christopher's little nose.

What Christopher wanted was to spend time with real girls and boys, just like yours. He knew how much kids loved Christmas, and he wanted to be a part of their excitement.

He also knew how hard it is for kids to wait that L-O-N-G stretch between Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve, and he wanted to help.

This little Christmas elf is about the age of your child. He has bright red hair and eyes that sparkle and see everything that goes on. His ears are bigger than other elves, but he puts them to good use by being an excellent listener.

Santa, being the wise man that he is, thought that letting Christopher Pop-In-Kins spend this special time with boys and girls around the world was a wonderful idea.

But there was one condition: the kids must never ever touch him. For if they did, Christopher would lose his magic. And he would have to return to the North Pole to get it back.

“Christopher Pop-In-Kins, I now proclaim you to be my very first Children's Elf. From this day forward, you will leave the North Pole every year right after Thanksgiving, to begin your very own journey to the Children's World....This is a very honorable position that I have bestowed upon you, Christopher. Do you accept it with honor?” asked Santa?

“I do!” said Christopher excitedly.

Thank goodness Christopher agreed to Santa's terms! Because he's eager and ready to “pop” in to your home every year right after Thanksgiving.
